Safe Arrow Tips
Making LARP Foam Arrows - YouTube
Flat tips are better for eyes and soft parts; would probably require goggles.
Found a CAD model for LARP arrows with a scooped cup on the end; doing a test print to see how it comes out.
- Maybe the key here is to have a round piece of foam that's covered by a cloth which is attached to the holes?
- The foam needs to be glued down I think, maybe this model is not ideal.
- Oh no wait, is this for foam molding? That would make sense...
- Get a bunch of bottles (or print a mold), cut off the ends, do it?
Things I need to do:
- Figure out diameter and thread of arrow tips
- Investigate ways to create tips
- 3D printed mounts and then glue in the screw?
- Screw with a PVC edge and a steel cap to ensure no penetration into plastic or foam?
- RE: Arrow tips, probably better to just buy them pre-made on Amazon or elsewhere with lots of reviews...
